My First Blog :)

Hello and welcome to my first blog! I wanted to share some projects that I have finished. Of course, I also wanted to track my WIPs (works in process) so that I don't let them sit sadly with my yarn stash, waiting desperately for me to finish them!

I have project ADD right now. I have so many things that I want to do that I really need to get myself organized so that I can actually do them all!

What am I working on?

Right now, I'm working on this lovely wrap from "Wrap Style" by Interweave Press:

I started it during a stitchin' superbowl viewing hosted by Teresa. Initially, I was making it for my mom, but I found another project that will suit her better. Now, I am making it for my aunt who used to crochet and inspired me to start. She can no longer crochet, so I thought this would be a nice gift. She loves victorian-style things and I thought this would be suiting. I am using TLC Baby Yarn in Powder Lilac.

I should have it done by the end of the day. As soon as I can post pictures, I will. I highly recommend this project to other crocheters. It's very intricate, but the pattern is much more simple than other lace patterns I have followed.

The next project that I am working on, for my mom's birthday is the Pike Place Market Bag from Crochet Me. I have never felted before, but I have been wanting to try!

Here's a pick of that bag:

I'm slightly concerned about trying to get it right with my communal/coin op washer. But, if other people can do it, I can, too!

In March, I will be starting this skirt for my sister, Betsy. I have no idea how long it will take, but it's beautiful and right up her alley.

She lives in Seattle and is either a crocheter who knits or a knitter who crochets. She a sweetheart and a total nurturer (must be genetic) and rarely makes something for herself. I thought that this exquisite number would be a perfect gift.

I just hope that it works out! The pattern looks simple enough, though rather repetitive. I just hope that I can focus on it long enough to finish it for her :)

Anyway, thanks for reading! And now on to the hookin' (muwahahahahahah)
